John Kilner - Flower in Pot
![]() |
This example of a small, round dump has a single flower in a pot. The flower and pot are both formed from silver-like foil. A central air bubble is set in the flower and the stem is formed from the elongation of this bubble. The petals of the flower appear rather weather-worn. There is also a large piece of frit in the dome - visible at the lower left of the photo. But even with these deficiencies, this weight is important to collectors ... it has the Kilner stamp on the base and is therefore dated as circa 1829. |
