The white canes of the carpet are well set and hold twelve medium-sized canes with silhouettes depicting the signs of the zodiac. The outer colours of the zodiac canes are mainly blue, purple, pale green, orange and red.

The design is completed by the inclusion of a yellow-surround date cane (B 1978) which is clearly seen to the right of the photo.
