This is a large, garlanded butterfly on a dark blue ground. Although not stated as such, the weight has the overall look of a 1930s item - the millefiori canes and the dark blue mottled ground are quite typical.

The lampwork butterfly has a green aventurine body with yellow antennae tipped in orange. The upper wings are striped green with pink and aventurine spots. the lower wings are striped pink, each with a single aventurine spot.

The garland has an interesting structure of pairs of complex yellow and red canes with green and white canes between. A further complex cane, mainly in orange, is set at the inner join of each yellow pair.
