This striking example from Christenhutte in Germany was described in the exhibition as "weight within a weight".

The inner element is, indeed, a finished weight in its own right. A golden central core has a translucent outer coating which is decorated with expertly pulled and shaped threads of yellow outlined in black. The top of the main design is completed with an air bubble set in a gently curving indentation. A further gather of clear glass is then applied to the whole.

The angle of the photo and the refraction of the glass fill the lower parts of the weight with the central design. However, the inner parts are almost spherical.
