In this 1990s piece by Peter Layton, the landscape view is mirrored on both sides of the weight.

The design is very pleasing and relaxing. The central element is a backdrop of blue sky with fluffy clouds and a golden, setting sun. The foreground depicts a country meadow with a variety of coloured flowers.

The overall, ovoid shape of the weight is echoed in the central sky section which, even though it is smaller than the foreground, works perfectly well, giving a wonderful feeling of depth to the image.
